Not too long ago, we snagged a charming 1920's cottage (Beneath the Pines) in the quaint town of Edgecomb, Maine. In this picturesque place, time seems to stand still. With glimpses of the sea, the sound of lobster boats hauling their catch, and the salty air, we knew this was where we belonged. As the seasons turned and winter arrived, we were faced with frozen pipes and power outages. But even then, huddled by the flickering light, we couldn't help but reminisce about summers gone by. We burned plenty of candles that winter, but the scent of the coast was what we truly craved.
